Hello, Some of these are from the first snow in December, the snowman was built two weekends ago, this is one of Jayne's birds, the girls, David and myself went ice skating, Jayne received an Ace of Cake decorating kit for Christmas this was her first attempt and James had a project for Spanish to do and it involved photos of all of us. Hope all is well and talk to you soon.

today was the day to make the bird feeders. Jayne covered the table with newspapers and jumped right in. She was careful to cover all the cone with peanut butter so that enough seeds would stick. They look delicious. We decided that we would put a branch in the stand for the umbrella on the deck as a make-shift tree to hang them on as we do not have a tree close enough to a window to watch the birds enjoy the feast. Look for the next post soon!

James graduated the 8th grade! Good going James we are very proud! Julia graduated to the 6th grade, Yeah Julia! Jayne was promoted to the first grade, Congratulations Jayne! Lecole and Larry and the kids came for the traditional 4th of July visit. We watched fireworks in Ridgewood this year. they put on a good show. Hope to talk to you all again soon.

Over the weekend I participated in a field trip with the photography class that I am taking to The Cloisters. A branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to art of medieval Europe, located in Upper Manhattan, overlooking the Hudson River.

Here we are on December 5 getting out real tree! We used to go and cut one down, but the drive was too long and we would always walk all the way around the tree farm and come back to the first one anyway.
On the sixth we were supposed to journal about a memory, so I choose the Santa light that was always in the same window when we were growing up. My sister has the original one, this one came from a flee market or a garage sale. It is still the same lamp!
here is the short list of what needs to be done, Laundry!!!!!
And the eighth day was to show you what I see, well the real tree, and my cute bathroom shower curtain with the round snowmen. I will get caught up again in a couple of days. Enjoy. Oh and by the way my book is getting chunky!!!!

Well it is that time again, Christmas Journal time that is!!! This is my third year taking the online workshop. The last two years I made the book myself, this year I chose to use an album that was purchased at Pottery Barn two years ago!!! On sale for $6.
The book is really long and thin. I decided to turn it horizontally.
Don't peek at the card!!! As you can see there is a page for each day.
Well, hope everyone is having a nice weekend, we will be getting the real tree tomorrow. YEAH!!!

I DO!!! These were added to my "collection" this week. I found them at the CVS. I loved playing with these toys. This little barn is sooo cute, and when you open the door, quess what!!! It MOOOOS! Just like the real toy!
It is the cutest thing and will hang in a good spot on the Christmas tree!
The View Master really works! There are three reels with The Night Before Christmas Story. Soo cute. Cant wait to decorate for the holidays. Anyhow, have a good night everyone!

Ok so here they go, one to 8th grade, one to 5th grade and even one in kindergarten!!! what a busy morning. Everyone got up and off on time, yeah!!!!

Julia is at the back of the bus this year.

The bus arrived last to the school.

There was no way that James wanted his picture taking mom going into the school so i did the next best thing and took one as he walked toward the door.

Jayne looked so cute this morning and was very happy to go into the classroom.

South street seaport NYC

hello, finally the five of us were able to actually go somewhere together! No baseball, gymnastics or swimming, YEAH!!!! We went to the South Street seaport, in NYC. so did a lot of other people. there was a yo-yo demonstration happening. James was very interested. the girls not so much.

We even saw the waterfalls under the bridges. the kids were tolerant of their photo happy mother as you can see by their lack luster smiles!!!

Jayne found her favorite thing of the day, Can you guess what that was? Julia just posed all day for photos!!!

My favorite things were the painted clouds the sky was very pretty on Saturday. this picture shows how fat and happy the clouds were.

Traveled to Morrisonville New York...

James was lucky 13, and went with the Cragles to Hershey park early in July. He has been missing from the last few posts so here he is!!

This past weekend the girls and I took a quick trip to upstate New York. The girls and i visited my Grandmother in Saranac Lake New York. The girls had fun playing with the Red Rose Tea Animals.

I have always wanted to stop and take a picture of these old barns on route 3.

The Girls were very willing to pose for me this weekend for some strange reason. It could have been the promise of ice cream or something like that!!!

WE have been pretty busy since May. School ended and the fun began. Julia made the Stingray swim team at the Wyckoff YMCA. Thanks for the great photo Diana. We spent fun Friday at the lake yesterday.

team #6 won the local championship for baseball. Yeah Team!!!

Last but not least Jayne Graduated from David and James'sPre-K. What a great celebration the teachers planned and kids executed.

The summer is looking great with vacations, the Cragles coming, reading camps and everything else. Have a great one.

Hello, yes it was my 40th birthday. It was calm and quiet. Breakfast delivered by a very good friend, Dinner at my favorite restaurant and cake at home with kids, Dave, Lecole, Cole and Madison. Because it was a "Big One" the gifts were BIG also, a new Canon Rebel xsi, some old things but good things, and a shinny new Grill from Mom and Dad. The weekend was very nice with manicures and pedicures for the girls, a trip to the scrapbook store and even a trip to the beach. Could not ask for more. Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend.

Here is a mini album of our 60 hour trip to Austin Texas!!! We had a lot of fun.
The new Basic Grey paper was what I decided to use to make this album. I used a lot of embellishments from KI memories, My Minds Eye, Stampin' up, and just whatever I had on hand. I used my bind it all to make the book.
I even used water color on this page!

Hello, heres what has been happening

Over vacation in February we were in upstate N.Y. Julia enjoyed the snow and poor Jayne got sick and spent the week on the couch.
It was also Jayne's fifth birthday!!! She rallied for that day and then returned to the couch.

James got in one day of skiing and had a blast.
David and I managed to get in a weekend away in Austin Texas, thanks to Mom and Dad for coming to babysit.

Happy New Year to all!!! For the last six years we have been spending New Years Eve with friends and their families. There is always good food, spirits, desserts, kids and fun. This year our hosts provided fun accessories for all. the kids both young and old had fun with these. There were basketball shooting competitions in the basement and the toy kitchen was working overtime upstairs. Here's to an awesome new year!!

As usual Dick Clark's Rock'n New Years Eve was on the television!! Welcome 2008.

This past week Julia participated in the winter concert at her school. Here are my favorite pictures.

This is the big window in the living room. I decided to add the lights last night. it looks so pretty.
here is our upstairs tree. Jayne and I decorated it while the two big kids were doing homework. she is an expert at putting lights up. We have a new tree stand this year it is awesome. it is cast iron all one piece. I still have a littlt christmas village to put up. will post again friday.
Yeah my cards are going in the mail on friday or saturday. What a relief that will be.

Hi, I'm the angle like Julia. I knitted this "creation" that my friend in knitting class told me about. It's called a Chapstick cozy.

Instructions to make a chapstick cozy

1. cast on 40 stitches
2. knit/perl for 5 rows
3. bind/cast off all
4. plan what you want it to look like
5. sew around the chapstick cozy (the edges)
6. DECORATE !!!!

Today we actually had 2 inches of snow. It was also the day we went to get the real tree.
This is the family room tree, it is artificial. Jayne is so excited this year. She has been involved in every step of the way.
this is the mantle so far. only one stocking is hanging so far.
Here we are at the tree farm, it really is a local nursery.

The tree will be strung with lights and decorated later to night when the old elf can do it by her self!!!

Ali posted awesome button trees on her blog last week. Here is our attempt this weekend at crafting with 500 pins and a lot of buttons.
This is julia working on her ball ornament. She named the yellow creation "banana ball".

Jayne was very serious with her tree. She said at one point " I just can not get it straight." She was very upset by this. I on the other hand was very excited as the pink buttons gently cascade down the tree.
I can not believe that the holidays are just around the corner.

Julia really wanted to be a pirate this year. She looked very cute.

Old friends came to spent the weekend last week. Annie and I went to Plattsburgh State together. She introduced David and I 18 years ago OH MY GOSH!!!! That is a long time when it is said out loud. We spent last saturday in NYC walking , walking and Oh yeah walking!! Here are some of the highlights....

Watching the kids balance on the subway was awesome, they do not even have to hold on!!

The kids and I made the trip up home to Mom and Dad's this weekend. It was Cole's Birthday Party and we were able to see Grandma. There were some definite signs of Fall.

Only two left at the bus stop.
Julia has the same teacher that James had when he was in fourth. We were very happy with that news. So we are off and running. Here's to a good year, Hip, hip hurray! :)

Well, Jayne was up and ready to go to Preschool this morning. She was being very brave. She looks so grown up. Julia was there to cheer her on. She has a new teacher and a new room this year. It is her last year before going to Kindergarten next year. In the class room she was greeted by her friends Daniel, and Luke. We found her name and crayons. Snack was going to start. She was a little sad when we had to leave but we know that she will have fun.

Tomorrow James begins his adventure as a seventh grader and Julia as a fourth grader.. See you then. Have a good day.

Hello from North Carolina, Outer Banks

Here is our tired little girl.
Here we are almost to the top of the dunes.
Some interesting berries along the path up the dunes, they were fuzzy.

This afternoon we watched the boats come in from fishing trips what fun.

So we arrived safely on Saturday. It has been loud, silly, loud, fun and just good old fashion vacation hoopla. We celebrated Davids birthday on Sunday. We have enjoyed the beach, pool and house a lot. The kids are very comfortable in the three sitting rooms, 7 bedrooms, four bath, and two kitchen house, called Motorcycle MaMas! Yeah!! Here a few pictures from today. I will try and post more tomorrow. Have a good one.

Yes David Michael Gordon will be 40 on August 26, our second day of vacation. Happy Birthday! Wasn't he cute? I think he gave himself a haircut before this was taken! Love you honey.

OK, so we went shoe shopping and then Dave and James decided that it would be a good day for golf. They went about 430, Julia and I were invited to go the the Wyckoff YMCA lake with Diana and Jon. Diana brought her camera. Julia has been fascinated with her jumping photos well she has one now!! Thanks!

so this one is cute. the bus driver took the picture on the last day of school. No longer her third graders but now fourth graders.
this was Jayne's play date with daniel. they made chocolate milk.
This was taken on memorial day at a friends BBQ. the girls are on a swing.

I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it was very good!!
David, James and Nick cleaned up the yard on Sunday.
Jayne dressed up! You cant see the sparkly belt that she has around her waist, cute!

Have changed the look of Julia's page a little to have just a stamped word Beautiful where the squares are. The light blue square reads "Insist upon yourself. Be original." Ralph Waldo Emerson.
The journaling dot in the middle says "Its hot mommy!".
Over 40 baseball. Journal square reads; Technically you turn 40 this year. When you learned you were eligible to play this season you where as excited as a kid.
This picture of my niece Madison was taken up at my grandmothers house. In the picture you can see her face the shadow is quite severe here. The journaling reads; What you can not see in this picture is the hot pink water gun that is being concealed and the pink and white in her beach hat. What you do see is a very good niece who is very patient with her Aunt Lenee.

So on Sunday this last weekend we were invited to a local lake Crestwood Lake by our friends Dave, Sue, Matthew and Jeffery. We had a great time. Nice location, quiet, friends and the kids jumping from high platforms and swimming in the cool water. This week started as usual. But then the scrapping bug took a bite and these four pages were the end result on Wednesday. Love the way the large pictures look, way easy to work with because your page does not need too much more. My husband really does love baseball that much! James baseball page is half done hoping to have that and a couple more by weeks end. Coles page is also in the works. Can not wait to share.

Sue and I went to see Hall and Oats at the Nokia Theatre in NYC tonight. We started out in Ridgewood and went on a bus to Port Authority and walked to the theater.

Yes it was raining.

Daryl and John came on stage at 8:30. We were in the standing floor seats. We were only about 3 people deep from the stage.

We heard a lot of favorites, Say it isn't so, I cant go for that, One on one, Rich Girl, She's gone, Wait for me, just to name a few.

We were even able to purchase a cd of tonight's concert. I think I heard us (or maybe it was just me!).

It was a very good show.

This week camps and work resumed. The kids are hot and on the go. James is in baseball camp and Julia is attending a day camp where they do a little of everything. They both are having a good time. Jayne is still attending her daycare at the YMCA. This is Luau week. Hope everyone is have a good summer and staying cool.

No fire works last night due to weather, but we saw a few sparks from the grill!! The fire works were postponed until later this weekend.

Hello all. Here is Jayne feeding our friend Frankie. She loves Frankie and Frankie is tolerating her!! Even though she is dancing and trying to full fill his empty days. His family will be returning soon. We have been having a lot of fun together.

With Cole and Madison visiting we have an excuse to go to Dairy Queen. Last night we all enjoyed a nice cool treat.

Welcome to the North Country. This is the view from one end of my parents porch. We visited my grandmother in Loon Lake. The girls had some fun at a tea party with Gram. She got a chuckle out of it also. We saw Cole and Madison every day, and one day we were at their school for Madison's soccer camp, nice play ground. The purse was a late mothers day gift for mom. Hope your summer has started off with a lot of fun.
