HMR Christmas concert with the fourth grade chorus...

This past week Julia participated in the winter concert at her school. Here are my favorite pictures.
Julia is standing on the left side of the stage, in the second row, she is the fourth person in the row.

I do not remember the name of the song but she was waving a red scarf in this one.
This is Jayne enjoying a very large cup of warm chocolate after meeting and greeting Santa will post more on that tomorrow along with her concert photos.

Have a good day.

a busy weekend

CREATIONS BY ME "Julia"

Hi, I'm the angle like Julia. I knitted this "creation" that my friend in knitting class told me about. It's called a Chapstick cozy.

Instructions to make a chapstick cozy

1. cast on 40 stitches
2. knit/perl for 5 rows
3. bind/cast off all
4. plan what you want it to look like
5. sew around the chapstick cozy (the edges)
6. DECORATE !!!!

Thanks Julia for the craft editorial! That was wonderful.

Today we actually had 2 inches of snow. It was also the day we went to get the real tree.
This is the family room tree, it is artificial. Jayne is so excited this year. She has been involved in every step of the way.
this is the mantle so far. only one stocking is hanging so far.
Here we are at the tree farm, it really is a local nursery.

The tree will be strung with lights and decorated later to night when the old elf can do it by her self!!!

Have a good one.

It is November!!!!

Ali posted awesome button trees on her blog last week. Here is our attempt this weekend at crafting with 500 pins and a lot of buttons.
This is julia working on her ball ornament. She named the yellow creation "banana ball".

Jayne was very serious with her tree. She said at one point " I just can not get it straight." She was very upset by this. I on the other hand was very excited as the pink buttons gently cascade down the tree.
I can not believe that the holidays are just around the corner.

Older kids Halloween...

Yes Mom this is SD, he really did do the look with the eye liner and added in the chains.
Just love this one with all the green and then the blacks and red.
Julia really wanted to be a pirate this year. She looked very cute.
Her parade was awesome, the weather was beautiful and the costumes were scary and bright.

what a good night.

Preschool Parade.

Jayne's preschool class paraded in the courtyard this morning and then sang the most Halloween songs that I have every heard. Sooo cute.
She looks so dreamy in this picture. Can not wait to see the older kids parade later today.

Hope your day is going well.

Happy Halloween!!

The kids carved their pumpkins this weekend with Nana. They came out really cute. These fuzzy pictures do not to them justice. AARRRGGGHHHH!!!!
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween.

Watching the kids balance on the subway was awesome, they do not even have to hold on!!

This reminded me of Clinton Correctional Facility.
TJ, Brianna, Julia, James and Jayne got along so well. What good kids. and good sports.
David is always willing to pose for a photo.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Working on a design team project hope to post the outcome tomorrow. Goodnight.
