How tired can one sixth grader be? Well James has a science test today. We have been studying for a couple of days. this morning he got up had breakfast and went to school. When I went to get the milk for the girls, look what I found. James' cereal!!! He may be a little tired today.

Fun day and fun gymfest.

How tired can one sixth grader be? James has a science test today so we studied pretty hard the last couple of days. This morning he got up, ate breakfast and reviewed a couple of troublesome vocabulary words. When I went to get the girls milk this is what I found. James' cereal!!

On Sunday jayne Participated in a Gymfest. She loves her gymnastics. Here are my favorite pictures from that day. I am planning on scrapping these and several others in the near future.

Put some spring in your step.

Good Saturday morning to you all. The kids were up semi-bright and early today. James and Jayne are enjoying some jumping, Julia did too for a little while except cousin Cole invited her to join him on webkins so she is there.

This is a random picture of Jayne drinking her new favorite vanilla milk or as she calls it "the silky smooth vanilla milk."

Well here's hoping your day is good.

Old habits resurfacing..

This week some old and a new habits were in full force.

First the removal of a drinking glass from a fun eating establishment. We went out to Charlie Brown's last night, kind of a celebration to the end of two weeks of standardized testing for James and Julia. This was Davids glass and it somehow managed to find its way into our dogie bag!!

Second, the bags are finished. Madison's looks like a giant strawberry, and Jayne's is simply Hot Pink. She loves them.

Third, my haircut with some coloring or highlighting it depends on who you ask in my house. It is cute.

Lastly, homework. Believe it or not I never really minded doing homework. Maybe my mom or dad could say differently but%2

Creating Keepsakes can be found at www.creatingkeepsakes.com

Rescued.

Here is my latest layout. The event, rescuing an abandoned cat in Keene Valley NY, occurred over my kids winter break in February. I finally finished it last night with the help of my march issue of Creating Keepsakes. Ali's notes on playing with ribbon and with flowers was the inspiration that I needed.

Wish us luck. Diana and I are taking a class on Adobe photoshop tonight.. It should be fun.

Be good.

A little bit of everything.

Here are some awesome pages from
a very good friend and scrapper.
Thanks Sue for sharing. Your
pages are so much fun and
the boys are cute.

On my way to work this afternoon, my cell phone rings. On the other end is this low, sad, sickly sounding eleven and a half year old. "Mom, I have a head ache and my stomach hurts and could you come and get me?" Well how to you say no to that. So here he is trying to fight off
the chill while watching videos on youtube.
Here are the twin girls. They are all about getting along lately. Hey, I'll take it anyway I can.

Here is the scene outside our front door. It is puzzling to think about who, when and why someone would only walk half way up our front yard, HUMMM!

Happy St. Patrick's Day.

These guys had fun on the slopes today. It was Cole's and Julia's first time snowboarding. They
had a real good time.
James can really show off his mad jumping skills, AWESOME DUDE!

These two girls had a lot of fun this weekend! They played at home and at a party.

Here is Jayne jumping around on a hopping ball.

Madison really enjoyed pushing and racing with this giant ball!!!

Nana here is your hat. It is sooo cute. It fits all of us, so it should fit you too.

Have a good night.

Some creativity...

Love this picture. This is Julia's creation. She has always liked to draw and sketch.

Here she is practicing her recorder. I think it was hot cross buns.

James is currently studing China in social studies, so they are learning about the art of origami. Here is his flock of cranes.

This is an album that I first viewed on Donna Downey's blog. Diana and I worked on it one night while the men played Texas Hold'em. It was a lot of fun. I am using mine for the photos from the trip to the American Museum of Natural History. The name is embossed within the Basic Grey book plate. I was able to use several Stampin up stamp sets that I had not previously used. Diana has awesome description on her blog check it out.

Better him than me!!!!!

Today the kids and I had dentist appointments.
As you can see Jayne is completely fascinated with the whole cleaning of the teeth. Well James got a big kick out of it. However, as her past object of observation in the dentist chair. I was relieved that it was not me. This way I did not have to pretend to be relaxed, calm, collected or any of that stuff. Any how all clean with good reports. Jayne actually giggled during the polishing, and Julia talked all the way through her cleaning, flossing and even fluoride treatment.

Second place Roller Hockey Champs......

Good Monday morning. Well they did it. The Mighty War Eagles Roller Hockey team made it all the way through to the championship. They took home second place. We were so excited for James, he was a very strong goalie. He said he had fun, the best part was getting a penalty for rough play. But your the goalie I said. he said someone else sits in the actual penalty box!!!!

Just sunday...

This was a quiet weekend except for the click, clackity, clackity, clack of knitting needles!!! Julia is working on a hat for Nana, I started a second bag.

Look at the first one!!! Thanks to Diana for washing which brought about the great felting of the yarn. the New handles look great. Each little girl needs one for her Easter egg hunt!

So, not much creating of the scrap book kind, but creating in the kitchen, took place this weekend. On Friday, had a lovely piece of homemade carrot cake with friends (you know who you are), enjoyed a night out on Saturday with some dear friends, and then today enjoyed a dinner of lasagna rolls (recipe courtesy Giada DeLaurentiis of the Food network.com) and this yummy mixed berry thingy with my family. Dad would have liked this it was delicious over vanilla ice cream, yummy. It was a very good weekend.

Have a good week!

2 Bobs in the house.....

The girls had hair cuts today, Yeah!!! Julia asked to have a Bob, short with Bangs. I was a little nervous at first then she said over and over that she wanted it so, it can always grow back. Jayne wanted a Bob too. But she has a longer style Bob and is happy with it. They look sooooooo cute and were sooooooo good.
Thanks girls.

The bag was finished. I brought it to Diana for felting. Upon closer examination, we decided that I had finished off too tight, and once felted it would look like a drawstring bag without the drawstring. Sooo, Diana undid the handles, and finished it off again. I have been working on new handles today. It should be ready to felt tomorrow. Stay tuned!!

Call me quiz master....

both James and Julia have tests tomorrow. James one in social studies about China's dynasty's, and a language arts test on the first five chapters of a somewhat interesting book called Running out of time. Julia has a spelling test, not too bad. I feel like I am in third and sixth grades all over again at the same time, and I do not remember being such a great student just a nervous one.

Anyhow today was spent at gymnastics,
and for some reason Jayne wanted her
bunny ears today, those photos were too
blurry to post so we also put out our
Easter baskets. A little early I know,
we appear to be skipping the St. Patricks
day all together.
The knitted bag is almost finished I have to do
the handles and then felt it, before and after
photos to come soon. Also creating a mini album
for a visit to the NY Natural History Museum.
Will post photos this weekend.

Have a good night

Happy Wednesday.....

Happy Wednesday, this is a card that was made for one of your good friend's 40th birthday this month. Happy Birthday Dave.

This next photo is of the cat that we rescued on our recent trip up state to visit Mom and Dad. She was found at keene exit on the New York State thruway. She came out of nowhere, and found us. She was clean, but very cold and starving. We took her to the vet and then to my Grandmothers house to stay. She will be well taken care of.

The kids all loved her. She is eating well and loving the spinning chair.

These images where taken during the week we were at mom's. This mountain view was taken on the road while traveling.

This is my favorite old farm house in Peru N.Y. It is well maintained however no one lives there.

This is the road to my sisters house also located in Peru N.Y. It is so pretty up there. Its nice to be able to go home so often.

Have a good night.
